Is the cost of smoking to high?

I am not a smoker but I understand the cost associated of smoking. So what are you going to do when prices are to expensive to buy or a collapse occurs?

Well first I would buy or make a pipe so I can reuse it. You could buy the tobacco in bulk or you could learn natural alternatives. I think you would be surprise to know how many natural alternatives exist or you could try growing your own tobacco.

My favorite is Common Mullein a local weed. This plant grows very tall and is also called witches torch. You harvest the leaves dry them and crush. When smoked this plant gives a calming effect and mild flavor. This is a hardy plant with many purposes. I hope you will google the properties of this wonderful plant and search for natural smoking alternatives in your area.

Many of the plants that Monsanto aka Roundup call weeds are really good foods and medicines! A weed is only a weed if it serves no purpose! Please don't use any plants that have been sprayed or are located in a questionable areas or if you can not id the plant a 100%. Please check out the health benefits of dandelions, plantain, red clover, heal all or self heal, pineapple weed, burdock, st.john's wort, ground ivy, lamb quarters aka pigs weed, jewelweed, wood sorrel and queen anne's lace. They are all considered weeds now but once a upon a time they were considered food and are very healthy!

Can you believe tomorrow is February? This month flew by for us.

I hope every one is going to use a  CPA tax person. They always get you the most money back than H&R Block or doing the taxes yourself. Big business uses every little tax loop hole and so should we! Medical mileage, any work related travel and any lodging or meal expenses, save it and give to your accountant.

If you have a home based business where you entertain or have clients over, talk to your account about using that square footage as a deduction maybe that is something you would like to do. Also, medicines, any food, toiletry items, cleaning products, utilities or trash removal maybe tax deductible in your state. A good CPA will get you every deduction or credit that is available to you. The tax forms you get from the post office or library does NOT have these deductions or credits. The government is not going to show you these options as they are trying to get every last penny out of you! It may cost a little more for a professional but well worth the cost as it will be a deductible expense next year.

Take your tax refund and buy extra food or supplies as inflation is already here! Sure the non essentials will go down in price but the essential items are getting more expensive! Also buy the candy sales after Valentines or Easter chocolate will get expensive. It will help adults and children feel better in hard times.

Limit the amount of processed foods you buy. Canning the food yourself is healthier for you and you know what is in your food! GM foods whole wheat cereal is so processed its like eating sugar and store bought oats are void of nutritional value. The processed foods have chemicals that will only make you more hungry, this is not a good thing for anyone. A bag of beans does cost more but how many beans are in the can you just paid 60 cents for? Which one is more cost effective and healthier?

Don't waste your money on seed banks. You have to buy the seeds of plants your going to eat and make sure it grows in your climate area. You can save the money and store the seeds correctly yourself! Use the saving to buy hand operated tools not fancy gadgets. I did make a video on the subject and must make a new one for the new hand tools we've purchased since then.

Hope you enjoyed, please comment

Some of my interest

Some of my interest are Herbal Medicine (Native, Ayurveda and Chinese) Reiki, Crystal, Massage, Color and Sound Therapy.

We grow a garden every year and this year we plan to convert the front yard into a large medicinal garden. Since we have local deer the hot peppers are planted next to the house and all the toxic plants will be planted around the border of the front yard to discourage them from eating the non toxic plants.

I have to admit I would rather be building or putting in fence post than housework....lol! As you can see from our farm tour videos. Since the hubby works full time, it's up to the rest of us to get things done but we do get him to help with the roofs.
